Godollo

This past weekend we took a short drive to Godollo just outside of Budapest.  This is the site of a royal palace whose construction began in the late 1700s.  It has just recently been renovated and it was very cool to see all of the historical artifacts, especially the weapons! Sadly they didn't allow cameras inside so these exterior shots will have to do.

So I've finally decided to try my hand at blogging.  I don't normally have to much to say as most of you reading this already know, but being across the water a thousand miles from home I thought this was a good way to at least share some pictures and experiences here in Budapest and anywhere else or travels take us.

To start it all of is a picture from New Years Eve at a friend house that over looks Parliament.  It's a beautiful view on an average night, with fireworks being shot off all over the city it is even more spectacular.  Hope you enjoy.
