Happy Halloween!

We're back

   

So we're back in the states but being in Miami its probably as close to living in  a foreign country as one can get.  More often than not the first language that I'm spoken to is spanish but thats ok as Spain was one of our favorite countries.  To add to the spanish flavor is the Mayfair Hotel and Spa (pictured above) a Gaudi inspired building located a block form our house.  Barcelona was one of our favorite cities and the architecture of Gaudi (pictured below) was a big reason why (as were the wine and food) so its awfully nice to have this daily little reminder of our time overseas.

So we spent Christmas in Spain, first a few days in Madrid then the remainder in Barcelona.  Not sure the exact story but the bear eating the fruit pictured above is in someway the symbol of Madrid.  It is a very lively city and the Christmas markets are so much more of a party than any where else we've been in Europe.  Here are a few pictures from around the city.
